Meet The Team

Paul is the Lead Pastor of Centre Church, responsible for leadership and championing, 'One church passionately loving God and people.' Paul is married to Emma and they have two adult children, Madison & Jonathan. Paul is a passionate football fan, enjoys a round of golf, exploring new places and eating different foods.

Thomas is the Creative Pastor of Centre Church, responsible for assisting our Lead Pastor as well as overseeing all creative aspects of the church.  As some would put it - he does anything and everything!  ​ Thomas and his Canadian wife, Alexis, have an international family, spread across four different nations. This may be increased with the addition of a cat….colour and type to be confirmed.  ​ If he’s not plucking his guitar strings or “tinkling the ivories” of the piano, Thomas can be found enjoying a variety of sporting endeavours, including football, running, snooker or golf. And yes, as his name suggests, he does like a spicy curry!

Hannah is the Families and Youth Pastor at Centre Church. She is responsible for overseeing and facilitating all under 18 programs in the church. She is also a member of The Hub Team, which run collaborative youth and schools ministry in Burgess Hill and the surrounding areas. ​ Hannah is married to Giovanni, and recently welcomed their son, Noah who brings so much joy to their lives. They also have a Labrador called Phil, who’ll greet you with enthusiasm and a slobbery kiss. ​ Hannah is passionate about empowering and discipling the next generation to reach the world for Christ, as well as providing safe spaces for them to journey through all that life throws at them. She’ll always have time for a cup of tea and a chat.

Samantha has served in various ministries (20+ years), and is currently a leader for youth and kids. ​ Samantha is married to Guy, with a 10-year-old daughter, Ada, and a dog, Dash. ​ Samantha works in Technology Management within the financial sector. She is passionate about empowering people by reflecting God’s love through encouragement and mentoring. She is a Platinum #IamRemarkable facilitator (trained 900+ people), and volunteers with HERA, mentoring trafficked women.

Sam serves as the HR Director for Centre Church, where she believes the church can glorify God by being an exemplary employer. She oversees all aspects of our 'people' needs, including recruitment, policy development, and employment law. ​ A lifelong learner, Sam always has a book (or three!) in hand an enjoys engaging in deep conversations. Although she doesn't have children of her own, she cherishes her role as an Aunty to many.

Joy is responsible for Pastoral Care, the Missions Team, Safeguarding Adults and a part of the Healing Rooms Team. ​ Joy has three adult children and two grandchildren. Joy is passionate about praying for people, supporting the church family practically, praise and worship, making greetings cards and cooking.

Ruth is our under 18s Safeguarding Lead. ​ Together with her husband: Robin, they love seeing people get to know Jesus and over the years have served in many areas of Church. They have two amazing grown up sons.   ​ Ruth is also an Occupational Therapist and CEO/founder of the charity Join the Dots that serves to equip Christian Ministries to better understand and support people who have experienced trauma: www.jointhedots.solutions. Ruth's happy place is walking in the countryside whilst eating ice cream or baking cakes!

Guy is married to Samantha and father to Ada. Guy is a Banking Director and has been awarded the Freeman of the City of London, as well as a member of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers. He is a passionate public speaker and advocate on disabilities. Living with MS, Guy’s resilience is a powerful testament to God’s work in his life, which he uses to witness in his career, family and medical professionals.
